Major: Applied Languages to Translation & Interpreting
 
Students are trained to work as English-Italian Interpreters and Translators. The programme focuses on practical and applied language skills, interpreting and translating skills, communication studies, linguistics, translation and interpreting studies and Deaf studies. In the second and third year students have the additional opportunity to work closely with professional interpreters in real-life situations as part of a placement program, gaining vital work-place experience. The programme prepares students to work as English-Italian interpreters and translators offering the opportunity to work in a wide variety of situations and fields that require research and teaching skills. The programme has strong connections to language schools and international events which help to produce highly skilled and employable graduates that are in high demand both domestically and internationally.
